Jim Harmon

Jim joined Odgers Berndtson’s Ottawa office in 1994 having previously held several management roles in the transportation sector. He was named a Partner in 1997, and Managing Partner in 2000. Jim also chairs Odgers’ Canadian Innovation Practice and serves on the firm’s National Executive Committee.

Jim specializes in recruiting executives that fundamentally impact the bottom line. He has carried out hundreds of CEO, CFO, CIO and VP-level searches for innovation sector start-ups, large private and publically-held enterprises, as well as public sector organizations.

In 2002, Jim and several other technology sector business leaders founded MindTrust, a forum exclusively for technology CEOs. Together with some of the region’s leading Chief Financial Officers, Jim organizes the CFO Breakfast, a semi-annual event that welcomes new CFOs to their roles. He serves on the Governance Committee of the Ottawa Hospital Foundation Board and is a Director of a New York-based charitable foundation. Jim is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick.
